Effective March 14, 2020, the Redlands Unified School District decided to suspend athletic activities until further notice. Please see the attached letter from RUSD:
Dear Redlands Unified School District Families:
Moments ago, we were notified that two school districts who are a part of the Citrus Belt League
have decided to suspend participation in athletic activities until further notice.
Upon consultation with site administrators within our District, the consensus was to do the same in
the interest of the safety of our students and our commitment to do what is necessary to alleviate the
impact of the pandemic. Effective March 14, 2020, Redlands Unified School District will suspend
athletic activities until further notice.
In the coming days, we will continue to rely on the information provided to us by the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the California Department of Education (CDE), and the
California Department of Public Health (CDPH) to help us decide whether to reinstate athletics or
not.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our students and families. We thank you in
advance for your continued support and understanding as we continue to do what is necessary to
prioritize the health and safety of our students and staff.
