Opening Weekend Split

The varsity Wildcat baseball team opened the RBI Tournament with a split over the weekend.

REV picked up a 7-6 victory against Shadow Hills (Indio, CA) on Friday afternoon. Chase Dabbs started the game striking out 10 batters over 5 innings. REV’s offense posted 11 hits, with Dabbs, Jared Benash, and A.J. Daniel each collecting 2. Shadow Hills plated 3 in their half of the seventh inning to tie the game. In the bottom of the eighth inning, with the bases loaded, D.J. Adalian hit a walk-off single to score Justin Granado. Tyler Albanese picked up the win in relief.

On Saturday morning REV fell to Paloma Valley (Menifee, CA), 3-1. Ray Fellows pitched well over 6.2 innings protecting the fourth-inning run scored by Chance Chavez. Paloma Valley’s offense exploded in the top of the seventh inning, scoring 3 times to secure the victory.
